She has 12,000 Instagram followers, a trust fund, and her own line of hair bows - and she is just two years old.

Pixie Curtis doesn't mess around.

The ginger-haired toddler is the daughter of PR queen Roxy Jacenko, and thanks to her internet savvy mum, her piggy-bank is already overflowing.

With the tot earning $200 for posts on social media spruiking everything from flavoured milk to shoes, Jacenko revealed that Pixie will have her own empire by the time she's grown up 'all on her own merit'.

Doting diva: The 2-year-old has her own empire in the making with her social media presence and earnings

'Pixie has an account which I opened a week after she was born and anything that she earns goes into that account so when she's older, she has a good start,' the 34-year-old told the MailOnline.

'I'm going to teach her to be smart with her money, as my parents did with me, work hard, earn it but don’t blow it on materialistic things until you have property.

'It's like driving a Ferrari but renting where you live – I am of the breed you buy where you have to live and in turn be extravagant with token items.'

Jacenko said  'there was no strategic plan' behind setting up Pixie's internet presence, with posts written in the first person by Jacenko and also closely monitored by her.

She added: 'Social media is great, but there's also a requirement in my eyes for parents to monitor it.

'It's so new that it's important to instill in kids there's a level of caution that is important, and it's not right to be posing in pictures that could in turn put them in danger.

'I am mindful - every mother wants to ensure their child is healthy, safe and well cared for, but it comes down to the imagery being posted.

'The imagery is key. If it was risqué it shouldn’t be on there – and she doesn’t post pictures of that nature... Pixie's posts are true to her being a kid.

'Exposure wise, of course there are dangers but at the same time we are with her 24/7 so I am certainly aware and I do not take it with any degree of complacency.'

Jacenko joked she's 'moments away' from giving birth to her second child with husband OIiver Curtis (a financial exec who is standing trial later this year on a charge of conspiring to commit insider trading).

She said their future son won't have an Instagram account like his sister because it's 'more of a girl thing'.

'When he is old enough to say, if he fancies being featured then Pixie can do it with hers.

'My husband Oli is so anti-Instagram - he has an account and has never even posted a picture so I don't doubt the new baby will follow in his mindset.'

Instagram has certainly been the domain for Pixie, with everything from hashtags to a hair bow range sprouting from her popularity on the app.

Roxy revealed: 'She has a hashtag #thelipsthelips which we began based on what we would often see in a local area close to home which we refer to as "double bay lips"... for those who have a little too much extra help in them to make them pout.

'She loves a good demo of it – and the hashtag kind of took off – now we get stacks of people posting pictures on Instagram and hastagging the pout with #thelipsthelips and then tagging @pixiecurtis in.'

What 'started as a joke' has now turned into the two-year-old being spotted at a yogurt store by fans.

Jacenko said: 'A group of school girls came up to her asking for a picture which was funny.

'I think she was pondering how she was going to manage to ditch me and hang out with them.'

Pixie is also set to release a line of hair bows - Pixie's PIX - which debuts online in May.
